Speaking at a meeting on Wednesday to review the performance of the Oil Ministry’s Legal and Parliamentary Affairs Department, Mohsen Pirhadi highlighted the ministry’s positive interaction with the Presidential Office’s Strategic and Parliamentary Affairs Department.
“By establishing an administrative automation system, we can help increase transparency in requests and communications between the Presidential Office’s parliamentary affairs department and the Oil Ministry,” Pirhadi said.
He stressed that the ministry’s legal and parliamentary affairs team is committed to advancing the government’s policies and priorities in Parliament.
“We have never relied on rhetoric alone. Instead, we have sought to act honestly and transparently in all our activities,” he said.
Gholamreza Shahkarami, director general of parliamentary affairs at the Oil Ministry, presented a report on the department’s activities, including meetings with specialized parliamentary commissions, particularly the Energy Commission, ongoing engagement with lawmakers even during wartime conditions, arranging visits to the country’s oil and gas facilities, and cooperation with Parliament’s Research Center.
Shahkarami described the ministry’s relations with members of Parliament as positive and called for closer cooperation with the Presidential Office’s Strategic and Parliamentary Affairs Department.
Officials from the Presidential Office’s parliamentary affairs department also praised the cooperation of oil industry managers, emphasized the need to expand collaboration, and proposed solutions to address existing challenges.
