Sepehr-Jofeir field sets new production records

SHANA (Tehran) – Sepehr-Jofeir oil field has achieved new production records through the use of domestic expertise, innovative operational solutions and the continued completion, testing and commissioning of new wells, despite challenges posed during the Third Imposed War.

According to the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC), a series of operational and technological measures were implemented to offset natural production decline, prevent newly drilled wells from remaining idle and boost output from the Sepehr-Jofeir field, in line with the objectives of Iran’s Seventh Development Plan and the country’s resistance economy policies.

A key initiative involved the design, procurement, installation and commissioning of temporary wellhead facilities using local capabilities and in full compliance with safety requirements. The solution was deployed for the first time at Sepehr-Jofeir, where mobile temporary wellhead facilities were installed on four wells, helping maintain uninterrupted production.

Abbas Goudarzi Arjmand, head of the Sepehr-Jofeir development project, said wells typically remain shut for at least two months after drilling until permanent wellhead facilities are installed.
