Addressing at groundbreaking ceremony of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline in zero point of the two countries border in Chabahar, Ahmadinejdad said: under various pretexts, some countries try to interfere in domestic affairs of the others, but here I would like to announce that the pipeline aims at promoting peace and security in the region.
He continued: construction of peace pipeline is a sign of fraternity between Iran and Pakistan and previous experiences show that the issues in the region could be solved just through sympathy and cooperation.
‘Peace pipeline is a sign of shared views between the two countries and it is clear to all that invisible hands are fuelling conflict and division among the nations to be able to dominate the region and steal its wealth.
Ahamdinejad noted: I believe if the countries of the region to strengthen their cooperation, they will no longer need others.
‘Iran and Pakistan should complete each other. Pakistan is a big nation, Iran is able to meet a great part of its energy needs and at the same time, Pakistan can provide Iran’s needs to other commodities’, the president said.
This gas pipeline is the starting point of new long way for deepening relations between the two countries’, Ahmadinejad concluded.
Construction of Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline, in Pakistan side, started today in the presence of Iranian president, his Pakistani counterpart, Asef Ali Zardari, in common border of the two countries southeast of Iran.
