Fatemeh Mohajerani made the remarks Tuesday evening following a visit to the Shazand Refinery in Arak, during a meeting with refinery managers. She said the purpose of the visit was to highlight the country’s situation amid what she described as an all-out campaign to undermine public morale, adding that journalists should document and explain the efforts being made at such facilities.
Mohajerani thanked refinery officials for their work in recent days, particularly during what she called the 12 days of imposed conflict, noting that their efforts ensured uninterrupted gasoline production. She described the work as “jihad-like,” adding that during the Nowruz holidays, despite the consumption of millions of liters of gasoline, there were no fuel shortages.
Referring to major overhauls carried out at the Shazand refinery, the government spokesperson said nearly 1 million person-days of labor were mobilized during the maintenance process, calling it a highly valuable effort that should be documented. She said work at the complex is carried out with sincerity and that the public should remain hopeful and recognize the dedication of the country’s workforce.
Mohajerani also praised refinery officials for producing low-sulfur mazut, saying claims that Iranians lacked production capabilities have been disproved. She said Iran’s oil industry has advanced to the point of producing Euro 5 gasoline and low-sulfur mazut.
