Iran, Russia agree on first phase of gas imports via Azerbaijan
SHANA (Moscow) – Iran’s oil minister announced that a preliminary agreement has been signed to import 55 billion cubic meters of gas annually (equivalent to roughly 150 million cubic meters per day) from Russia to Iran. He stated that transfer routes were evaluated, and both sides ultimately agreed on a land-based route through Azerbaijan.
