Nigeria, the largest crude oil producer in Africa and a country with significant natural gas reserves, is a key member of both the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) and the GECF. It plays an important role in global energy supply and regional cooperation in the gas sector.
The 27th GECF Ministerial Meeting is scheduled to take place Thursday, Oct. 23, in Doha, with ministers and senior officials from member countries in attendance.
