Hamid Bovard made the remarks during a meeting to review progress on development projects run by the Petroleum Engineering and Development Co., known as PEDEC. The session covered the status of ongoing projects, how much of the planned work has been completed, and what's needed to speed up implementation. Participants also discussed ways to clear obstacles and improve coordination across departments.

The meeting included Farrokh Alikhani, director of integrated planning at the National Iranian Oil Co., and Nasrollah Zarei, PEDEC's managing director. Project leaders presented updates on developments under their oversight, along with completed work, upcoming plans, challenges and proposed solutions for accelerating the projects.

The gathering was part of ongoing monitoring of development projects and a broader review of PEDEC's strategic initiatives.

PEDEC oversees a significant share of Iran's most important oil field development projects. Its strategic portfolio includes the Azadegan, Yadavaran, Yaran, Sepehr and Jofeir, Sohrab, Cheshmeh-Khosh, Dalpari and Paydar-e-Sharq fields, along with the West Karoun power plant — all of which play a key role in boosting the country's oil production capacity.

The company has completed the first phase of development at the North Azadegan, Darkhovin, Yadavaran and Azar oil fields, and says it will continue other development projects in line with the National Iranian Oil Companys broader plans.
