Oil minister honors employees, hails workforce as engine of progress

SHANA (Tehran) — Iran’s oil minister marked Employee Day with a message praising oil industry employees for their dedication, describing them as being on the front line of public service and a pillar of the country’s energy security.

“The vitality and progress of the oil industry is the result of determination, reliance on God and the knowledge of its workforce,” Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said in his message Monday.

He commended employees for their “selfless and tireless” efforts, noting that their work directly impacts all aspects of the country’s fuel and energy supply. Paknejad also cited Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s view that public employees are the main asset in serving the people.

Paknejad praised workers for standing firm against unprecedented international sanctions aimed at crippling the industry. “With resilience and determination, you have kept the oil sector dynamic and on the path of progress,” he said.

The minister extended congratulations to oil workers during Government Week, paying tribute to the memory of Iran’s martyrs, and wished them health, success and continued pride in serving the nation.

He expressed hope that, with knowledge, self-confidence and divine support, “a brighter and more glorious future will be achieved for this great industry and our beloved Iran.”

August 26th is registered as "Employee Day" on the Iranian calendar.
