According to the National Iranian Oil Company, Mohammad-Jafar Alishaei stated that summer overhauls of gas pressure boosting stations have begun despite harsh climate conditions.

The operations involve precise planning and collaboration between specialized teams from the production department and operating companies to address gas supply imbalances during the cold season and maintain stable energy production and transmission.

He emphasized that the 1404 major maintenance program is underway at Karun and Maroun oil and gas operating companies. A total of eight gas pressure boosting stations—Maroun 6, Ahvaz 3 Asmari, Ahvaz 4, Ahvaz 2 Asmari, Ahvaz 3 Bangestan, Maroun 3 Bangestan, Ahvaz 1 Bangestan, and Mansouri—are scheduled for overhaul.

So far, the major overhauls of Ahvaz 3 and Maroun 6 stations have been successfully completed, while work on Ahvaz 4 is ongoing. The remaining stations will be overhauled and operational by the end of summer 1404.

Alishaei stressed that timely overhauls of these facilities play a vital role in maintaining network stability, ensuring continuous feedstock supply to gas and liquid gas plants, and preventing associated gas flaring. Delaying major maintenance could lead to partial shutdowns, gas flaring, and increased technical and financial costs.

He added that these measures, along with enhanced infrastructure resilience, will ensure the continued safe production and transmission of gas from the south oil-rich regions to the national gas network.
