During a visit to the industrial workshop of Iran Shipbuilding & Offshore Industries Complex (ISOICO) in Bandar Abbas, Touraj Dehqani stated that ISOICO, with its significant experience in constructing offshore platforms, can strengthen and expand its capabilities by upgrading its workshop infrastructure.
Dehqani said the visit aimed to review the complex’s latest achievements and updates in marine facility and equipment manufacturing.
He added that identifying these capacities could help advance Pars Oil and Gas Company’s goals, particularly in mega-projects focused on increasing gas production.
The CEO described ISOICO as a valuable national asset and discussed collaboration between the two companies. He noted that Petropars had awarded ISOICO the contract to build the second offshore platform for South Pars Phase 11, which must be completed within two years to utilize the phase’s second offshore site.
Dehqani highlighted that the gas compression project requires constructing massive, unique structures weighing over 8,000 tons. Given limited domestic experience in building such large-scale installations, selecting capable companies for the project is crucial.
