According to the IOOC, Ahmadreza Rasti stated that the project has entered a new phase of development following the delivery of all 12 compressors and ancillary equipment to Kharg Island, which required special maritime transport and traffic permits.
Referring to the arrival of the final shipment on Thursday (May 29), Rasti added that the delivery included 310 specialized items worth approximately €96 million, transported to Kharg Island in a short period.
The CEO commended the project team’s persistent and responsible efforts, noting that the achievements so far stem from cohesive collaboration, organizational commitment, and the high expertise of Iran Offshore Oil Company employees, who are diligently executing this strategic initiative.
Rasti also highlighted ongoing efforts to secure investment and resolve remaining obstacles in the project’s final phases. He added that flare gas recovery at the Forouzan Field and upstream development are key priorities for relevant management teams.
He said that with continued equipment procurement and further implementation, the full launch of this vital national project is imminent. Once operational, it will play a crucial role in reducing emissions, improving efficiency, and supporting sustainable development goals in the oil industry.
