According to SPGC, Mehdi Gerami-Shirazi highlighted the refinery’s ongoing commitment to sustainable production, stating that regular preventive maintenance and improving the reliability of gas export turbo-compressors are among the key measures to ensure stable output.
He emphasized that special programs are underway to maintain sustainable production, including replacing adsorbent beds in LPG production units, reducing flare gas burning, and boosting output levels.
Gerami-Shirazi noted that thorough assessments of moisture and amine absorbers in gas processing trains—supported by employee innovation and effort—have successfully prevented production declines and improved process stability.
He also announced plans to replace glycol cycles in offshore pipelines according to design specifications in the first half of this year, calling it a significant step toward production stability and reducing environmental pollutants.
Regarding quality and efficiency improvement projects, he mentioned replacing steam pipelines from amine reboilers in gas sweetening units, installing mist systems for air coolers in the gas export unit to reduce water consumption during hot seasons, and replacing pipes in dehydration unit furnaces as key initiatives.
Gerami-Shirazi stressed that safety and environmental protection are top priorities for the refinery, citing green space expansion and process safety management projects as ongoing efforts to enhance safety standards and environmental conservation.
