PR plays pivotal role in advancing oil industry

SHANA (Tehran) – The Director-General of Public Relations for the Ministry of Petroleum congratulated all professionals in the field, particularly the pioneers of public relations in Iran’s oil industry, on Public Relations and Communications Day.

In his message, Majid Boujarzadeh stated:

“We sincerely congratulate all dedicated and motivated professionals in this field, especially the pioneers of public relations in Iran’s oil industry, on the occasion of Public Relations and Communications Day, marking the 27th of Ordibehesht (May 17).

Public relations in the Ministry of Petroleum, as the first communications institution in the country’s oil industry with a long-standing and distinguished history, has played an unparalleled role in strengthening public trust, ensuring transparency, and aligning organizational goals with societal expectations. With a deep understanding of the importance of ‘communication’ as the engine of development, this sector has laid the groundwork for strategic and development-focused projects while solidifying the oil industry’s narrative in public discourse.

Today, as the oil industry faces complex technological transformations and growing communication demands, the role of public relations in managing challenges, analyzing stakeholders, and leveraging new tools such as artificial intelligence has become more critical than ever. It is expected that this sector will continue to advance with up-to-date knowledge, creativity, and a forward-looking approach to play a more scientific, dynamic, and impactful role.
