Saeid Tavakkoli, speaking Thursday during the first day of the exhibition, noted that the event showcases the expertise of Iranian specialists who have excelled in the oil and gas industry despite years of sanctions and restrictions. He said, "Given these achievements, we welcome stronger ties between the National Iranian Gas Company and the Russian Oil and Gas Union and hope this leads to greater collaboration."
Tavakkoli also emphasized the need to establish a joint Iran-Russia oil and gas working group, stating that it would create more opportunities to discuss mutual needs and exchange expert opinions.
Regarding the gas purchase and transfer agreement between Russia and Iran, he said the deal is in its final stages, with senior officials from both countries supporting its implementation.
Russia seeks stronger ties with Iran

Isakov noted that joint government projects are already underway and stressed the need to maximize existing capacities while fostering broader participation.
He added that Russia is keen to introduce its products to the Iranian market while facilitating Iranian exports to Russia to boost trade relations. "We are fully prepared to promote Iranian manufacturers in the Russian market and expand cooperation opportunities," he said.
