The MoU on energy optimization in the buildings of the Oil Ministry was signed on Thursday, May 8th in the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025) by Hamid Heidary, the head of the Oil Industry Research and Technology Fund and Ahmad Zeratkar the planning deputy of the Oil Ministry.
The goal of the memorandum is to create collaboration and synergy in both parties in financial providing and technological development and innovation to encourage optimization in the use of energy.
The exciting capacities in this memorandum include financial facilitation of projects related to the optimization of energy use in buildings, investment facilitation in the energy optimization sector in buildings by publishing the related energy saving documents, acceleration in the process of projects and the necessary cooperations to develop the capacities of the optimization market and energy saving certificate.
Based on this report the Oil Ministry in now responsible to introduce energy optimization projects in all its main and subset buildings and in return the Oil Industry Research and Technology Fund must cooperate with its companies in regards to the financial and technical projects suggested for energy optimizations in the buildings. The timeframe of this memorandum is two years and its execution will play a huge role in the reduction of energy use and improvements in investments.
