Iran’s oil industry stands firm despite sanctions, pressure

SHANA (Tehran) – The oil minister advisor who heads the ministerial office emphasized that the oil industry is at the forefront of countering sanctions, stating that the key message of Iran Oil Show 2025 under sanctions is the sector’s resilience despite pressures, threats and restrictions.

On Thursday, May 8, Kasra Nouri said that Iran’s oil industry remains a driving force in the country’s development, and the most explicit and significant message of the 29th International Oil, Gas, Refining & Petrochemical Exhibition (Iran Oil Show 2025) is its steadfastness amid unprecedented challenges. 

Referring to the fact that the oil industry is in its initial phases of opposing the sanctions and has never tolerated pressures as it is now, emphasized that despite the current situation with the aid of the hardworking staff of the oil industry, the economic wheel of this industry is still in motion and although the presence of challenges is acknowledged, this industry has made significant progress in all four sectors of oil, gas, refinement and petro-chemistry along with their related industries.

The oil minister advisor marked the most important quality of this year’s exhibition to be moving forward and affirmed that by visiting this year booths all participants have equip themselves with practical science and have entered new territories in that regards as we hope that with the collaboration of all the participants both in private and public sectors, this industry become further developed.
