Ali-Mohammad Mousavi spoke Wednesday evening (April 23) during a meeting with Iranian delegates attending the 18th session of the Permanent Joint Economic Commission between Iran and Russia.
He noted that following the signing and ratification of the Iran-Russia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership Treaty, Tehran demonstrated its commitment to deepening ties by sending a large and high-profile delegation.
Referring to a recent coordination meeting between Iran’s oil minister and members of the 18th Iran-Russia Economic Cooperation Commission in Tehran, Mousavi said he held discussions with his Russian counterpart to ensure a successful meeting with positive outcomes, reaching consensus on key issues.
Emphasizing that the commission serves as a platform to document achievements and conduct negotiations year-round, Mousavi stressed that Iran and Russia must remain united, calling the economic cooperation commission a reflection of their shared political resolve.
Expert meetings for the 18th Joint Economic Cooperation Commission between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Russian Federation began Wednesday morning (April 23) in Moscow at the Russian Energy Agency.
Following discussions on the second day (Thursday, April 24), expert delegations prepared multiple cooperation documents across various sectors for signing by Iran’s Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad and Russia’s Energy Minister Sergey Tsivilyov, the co-chairs of the joint commission.
The final session for signing cooperation agreements will take place Friday (April 25) at the President Hotel of the Russian capital, attended by Iran’s oil minister and Russia’s energy minister.
