Fuel sales at Parvizkhan border to be organized

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company emphasized the need to properly organize fuel sales at the Parvizkhan border, stating that achieving this goal requires cooperation from the Kermanshah Provincial authorities and other local agencies.

Keramat Veys-Karami, during a visit to the Kermanshah region and its borders on Tuesday (April 15), addressed the challenges related to fuel sales at the Khosravi and Parvizkhan borders. He stressed that infrastructure at these borders must be improved to minimize oil product smuggling.

Veys-Karami noted that measures have been taken to implement a "full-tank" fuel delivery system for vehicles entering or exiting the country, a plan that has already been successfully rolled out at border terminals in other provinces.

He added that with the resolution of logistical challenges by the oil and transportation ministries in the coming months, a finalized plan will allow for full-tank fuel exports under transit and transshipment arrangements.

Veys-Karami called on the Kermanshah Provincial Government and officials in the Qasr-e Shirin Economic Zone to provide the necessary space for the National Oil Products Distribution Company to carry out its operations.

If suitable conditions are met, a permanent fuel station will be established at the Parvizkhan border to optimize fuel distribution and generate significant revenue for the country.

The CEO emphasized the need to strengthen the national economy in this sector and curb fuel smuggling, urging all relevant agencies—particularly the Kermanshah Provincial Government, the Qasr-e Shirin Governorate, and other regional economic entities—to cooperate fully.
