The event honoring service providers during the Nowruz holiday season was held Saturday with First Vice President Mohammadreza Aref, as well as the ministers of roads and urban development, and cultural heritage, tourism, and handicrafts in attendance.
Mohsen Momeni, head of public relations for the NIOPDC, said: "As part of the travel and transportation committee’s plan, Maliheh Mahmoudi from Semnan province and Shaqayegh Gholampour from Fars province were honored as exemplary tanker drivers."
Highlighting the critical role of fuel distributors, he noted that around 16,000 tankers were in service across the country during this year’s Nowruz period. "These two outstanding women played a key role alongside their male counterparts in ensuring timely fuel delivery to the people," he added.
During the Nowruz holidays (March 15–April 4), approximately 2.823 billion liters of gasoline were distributed nationwide—a 15% increase compared to the same period last year.
