Sufficient fuel stored in oil depots for Nowruz

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of National Iranian Oil Products Distribution Company (NIOPDC) stated that sufficient fuel has been stored in oil depots to ensure proper fuel supply during the Nowruz holidays, and there will be no shortages during the upcoming holidays.

Keramat Veis-Karami, referring to the start of Nowruz travels, said: "Alongside managing winter fuel supplies and providing fuel to consumers in various sectors facing gas shortages, the company has also been responsible for supplying and storing gasoline. With the stored reserves, there will be no shortages during the Nowruz holidays."

He added: "Meetings of the Nowruz Travel Coordination Headquarters and the Special Nowruz Fuel Supply Task Force are being held at the NIOPDC, and necessary intra- and inter-organizational coordination is being carried out to provide appropriate services to fellow citizens during this period."

The CEO of the NIOPDC, highlighting the readiness of the company's infrastructure and facilities to provide optimal fuel supply to travelers across land, sea, and air sectors, said: "Continuous inspections of fuel supply stations are being conducted as part of the Nowruz Fuel Supply Monitoring Plan at the headquarters and operational regions of the NIOPDC to ensure full preparedness of these stations."

Veis-Karami, regarding the forecast for Nowruz gasoline consumption, stated: "Since the beginning of this Iranian year, an average of 124 million liters of gasoline have been distributed daily across the country, and it is predicted that this number will increase to an average of 132 million liters per day during the Nowruz travel period (March 15 to April 4, 2025)."

He expressed hope: "With the measures taken and necessary planning, we hope to witness favorable conditions in providing fuel to fellow citizens during Nowruz."

The CEO of the NIOPDC emphasized: "In the provinces of Hormuzgan (eastern region), Kerman, and Sistan and Baluchestan, which are subject to the coding plan, sufficient emergency cards have been provided to designated fuel stations for travelers."
