IOOC inks two research agreements with Iranian NTBFs

SHANA (Tehran) – On the second day of the third PetroTech Conference, two first-time production research agreements were signed between Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC) and Iranian new technology-based firms (NTBFs).

The agreements were signed on Monday by Salman Khosravi, deputy CEO of IOOC, Omid Khayatzadeh, CEO of Petro Fanavari Paya, and Babak Iranpour, CEO of Mehr Tash Sepahan.

The signing ceremony was attended by Omid Shakeri, deputy oil minister for engineering, research, and technology, and Mahdiya Motahari, director of research and technology at the National Iranian Oil Company.

The agreement with Petro Fanavari Paya focuses on "first-time production of services for measuring flow rates in offshore wells with high gas-oil ratios (HIGH GOR)." The second agreement, with Mehr Tash Sepahan, involves the "localization of chemical dispersants for marine oil spills (Oil Spill Dispersant-OSD), obtaining national and regional biological permits."

On the sidelines of the event, Salman Khosravi visited an exhibition showcasing achievements of domestic NTBFs.

On the first day of the conference, two other agreements and contracts were signed between Iran’s Offshore Oil Company and Iranian knowledge-based firms.

The Third Petrotech Conference, held under the slogan "Modern Technologies in the Oil Industry: The Key to Increasing National Wealth," took place on Sunday and Monday, February 23 and 24, at the Research Institute of Petroleum Industry (RIPI) in Tehran.
