Gas flaring to cease in Haftkel oil region

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) announced the extinguishing of oil flares in Haftkel, stating that the launch of the Haftkel Gas Injection Project will permanently eliminate concerns over gas flaring in this oil-rich region.

Ebrahim Piramoun, speaking at a five-year productivity forecast meeting for oil wells, production, distribution, and gas injection at the Masjed Soleyman Oil and Gas Operating Company on Tuesday, highlighted the company's significant responsibility in boosting production. He credited the achievement to the collective efforts of all employees and operating companies.

Piramoun added that the company, as the largest oil producer in the country, achieved a substantial increase in production in a short period, playing a crucial role in energy production and generating foreign currency revenue for the nation.

He noted that the Masjed Soleyman Oil and Gas Operating Company combines both old and new fields, with the older fields reflecting the performance of the southern oil-rich regions. Emphasizing the development and increased production from new fields, he stressed the need to leverage modern technologies and methods, such as drilling, well completion, and advanced engineering techniques, to enhance the recovery factor from older fields and reservoirs like Masjed Soleyman.

Piramoun also underscored the importance of environmental protection and reducing industrial pollutants, highlighting the collection of flare gases at the Masjed Soleyman Oil and Gas Operating Company. He pointed to significant achievements in this area, particularly in the Haftkel field.

20% increase in oil production in Masjed Soleyman

Alireza Heyhavand, CEO of the Masjed Soleyman Oil and Gas Operating Company, announced a 20% increase in production compared to the first six months of the year. He attributed this success to full coordination and effective collaboration across all levels, from technical experts to management.

Heyhavand noted that achieving this milestone was particularly challenging due to the vast geographical area, natural obstacles such as permanent rivers and large lakes, and the difficult mountainous terrain where wells, pipelines, and processing facilities are located. Despite these challenges, the dedicated and hardworking team managed to overcome them.
