Hassan Abbaszadeh, speaking on Tuesday at the opening ceremony of the third Petrochemical Industry Health Festival, expressed gratitude for the efforts made to hold the festival after years of hiatus.
He emphasized, "I believe employees are the most valuable asset, and their health must be taken seriously."
Abbaszadeh stressed that managers must prioritize the mental health of their employees, noting that lifestyle changes significantly impact individuals' well-being. "Attention to work shifts is crucial. Sometimes, camaraderie and friendship among employees across different shifts are highly important," he added.
The deputy oil minister highlighted the need to improve the quality of time managers and employees spend with their families, stating, "Time passes quickly, and neglecting family can be irreparable. If you can balance work and life in terms of time, you will be more successful."
Abbaszadeh pointed out the petrochemical industry's contributions to the country's health sector, noting that numerous flares have been active for years in West Karoun, East Karoun, Dehloran, and Ilam.
"The petrochemical industry has made significant investments to collect flare gases and extinguish them. Marun Petrochemical has spent approximately $400 million in this area," he said.
He also mentioned that Bid Boland Persian Gas Refining Company has invested $1.1 billion in flare gas collection, which will partially supply feedstock for Bandar Imam and Gachsaran Petrochemicals.
"This year, in addition to extinguishing 14 flares through Bid Boland Persian Gulf's efforts, the NGL 3100 unit in Dehloran will also become operational," Abbaszadeh added.
The deputy oil minister emphasized the petrochemical industry's commendable actions in social responsibility and health, stating, "The industry has undertaken significant initiatives in afforestation, hospital construction, and more. The seventh development plan also includes projects to produce healthcare products, which are among the petrochemical industry's contributions to the country's health sector."
The third Petrochemical Industry Health Festival, aligned with the National Petrochemical Company's overarching policies, aims to promote a culture of health, synergy, and showcase the activities and achievements of regional petrochemical companies in the health sector. The four-day event runs from February 18 to 21 in Mahshahr.
