Fatemeh Mohajerani, speaking on Monday during a meeting with female employees in the oil industry in the Pars region, emphasized that the challenges and issues faced by these workers often go unnoticed. She stressed the need for serious attention to this matter.
Mohajerani praised the women working in the oil industry, stating, "Energy production and the functioning of our lives are indebted to your efforts. We must practice positive discrimination for women, not by giving them special privileges, but by choosing them under equal conditions."
She described authority, responsibility, and accountability as the three pillars of management, adding, "We must assign effective roles to those capable of taking them on, while also holding individuals accountable."
In response to concerns raised by one of the women at the meeting regarding the establishment of a women's coastal park, Mohajerani urged the managers of the South Pars region to prioritize this initiative.
Sakhavat Asadi, CEO of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone, also spoke at the meeting, noting that 76,000 individuals, mostly specialists in their fields, are employed in various refining and petrochemical sectors. He highlighted the active presence of women alongside men in the region, working side by side with their colleagues.
The government spokesperson arrived in Asaluyeh today to inspect the South Pars facilities and meet with personnel and regional managers. She is scheduled to hold a press conference with journalists in Asaluyeh on Tuesday.
