This effort aims to support the nation’s economic circulation and ensure homes remain warm during the colder months.
Mehdi Gerami-Shirazi highlighted that the South Pars Gas Complex has become the backbone of the country’s energy sector.
He noted that, thanks to the round-the-clock efforts of the 12th refinery’s staff, more than 245,000 tons of ethane have been sent to petrochemical plants in the region since the start of the year.
Gerami-Shirazi emphasized that the development of the oil and gas industry, particularly the production of over 73% of the country’s natural gas at the South Pars Gas Complex, stands as one of the nation’s most significant achievements in recent years.
During the same period, the 12th refinery also produced more than 422,000 metric tons of propane and 300,000 metric tons of butane.
He added that one of the most notable accomplishments of the South Pars Gas Complex is its reliance on 90% domestically produced goods and equipment, which has played a crucial role in ensuring stable gas and byproduct production.
Gerami-Shirazi also mentioned the production of high-quality granulated sulfur at the 12th refinery, reporting that over 16,000 metric tons have been produced since the beginning of the year.
