Saeid Tavakoli emphasized that the gas supply for this sector remains stable across the country, with no interruptions or pressure drops.
Tavakoli, speaking on Thursday in the News 14 studio, highlighted that the country's gas network is currently stable.
He noted that, thanks to the efforts of all colleagues nationwide, there have been no issues related to pressure drops or gas cuts in the residential and commercial sectors, and the gas supply for consumers in these areas remains uninterrupted.
Tavakoli pointed out significant records set in the past week, revealing that gas consumption in the residential sector yesterday accounted for 78% of the country's total gas production, marking a 38% increase compared to the same period last year.
The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company stated that gas consumption in the country has shown a continuous and consecutive upward trend over the past five days.
Report technical issues to 194
In response to a question from the news program host about gas cuts in some areas of Mazandaran Province, Tavakoli explained that there have been no gas cuts in any part of Mazandaran or northern regions.
However, on Sunday, limited pressure drops occurred in a few mountainous villages in Kelardasht and forested villages in Chamestan. T
hese areas were disconnected from the network for less than two hours due to safety standards and the need for colleagues to reconnect households, but they were quickly reconnected thanks to the efforts of the team.
He emphasized that 74% of the country's gas is produced in the south, while 70% of the produced gas is consumed in the north. Therefore, pressure drops during cold seasons are a technical issue that is understandable. Colleagues have taken necessary precautions and demonstrated the ability to resolve such issues within a few hours.
The CEO of the National Iranian Gas Company added that citizens can report any technical issues related to gas supply at any time by calling 194 (Gas Emergency Services) to receive prompt assistance from the National Iranian Gas Company.
Tavakoli stressed the importance of citizens' role in maintaining the stability of the country's gas network.
He noted that public cooperation with the "Reduce by Two Degrees" campaign and other cultural initiatives by the National Iranian Gas Company has led to savings of 20 to 25 million cubic meters of gas.
He expressed hope that, with the continuation of this trend and the round-the-clock services of colleagues, the country will successfully navigate the winter without issues.
