Successful maintenance operations implemented at SPGC

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex highlighted the stability of gas production across all refineries in Phases 1 and 2 of South Pars, stating that renovation and maintenance operations for various pumps, boilers, and turbo-compressors are being successfully carried out using the expertise and innovative approaches of South Pars specialists.

Gholamabbas Hosseini noted that significant achievements have been made in maintaining production stability through both short-term and long-term maintenance efforts.

He emphasized that gas production across the South Pars Gas Complex refineries is now stable, and with the support of creative and innovative experts, there are no issues in maintaining units, parts, or strategic equipment.

Regarding short-term maintenance initiatives, Hosseini explained that specialists have successfully completed periodic preventive maintenance in areas such as electrical equipment, instrumentation, mechanical systems, and rotating equipment.

The CEO also stated that the complex has achieved full self-sufficiency in the periodic maintenance of critical and strategic equipment, including turbo-compressors, generators, LPG pumps, and amine units across the 13 South Pars refineries. All renovation and maintenance processes have been handled by the complex’s staff.

Hosseini pointed out that the supply of chemicals and the replacement of molecular sieves and catalysts have been successfully managed ahead of the winter season, based on performance tests conducted by experts. Any additional maintenance required during winter will be handled by internal staff and specialists.

He added that inspections in refineries 1 through 5 have been intensified to ensure the supply of key parts and equipment.

A project to update the software systems in these refineries has been implemented, with the upgrade process expected to be completed in the shortest possible time.

Regarding the current status of gas production and delivery to the national grid, Hosseini said that production and delivery from the South Pars refineries remain stable, marking a significant achievement.

He expressed hope that, with divine grace, the round-the-clock efforts of the staff, public cooperation, and participation in the "2 Degrees Less" campaign, the complex will successfully navigate this critical period.
