SPGC sets record for gas processing

SHANA (Tehran) – The CEO of the South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) announced that the facility has set a new record for gas processing and transmission, delivering more than 595 million cubic meters (mcm) of sweetened gas to the national grid.

Gholamabbas Hosseini highlighted the round-the-clock efforts of employees in advancing development and ensuring the comfort of citizens.

He stated that specialists and staff at the SPGC achieved this milestone on Sunday, by sending over 595 mcm of sweetened gas to the national grid.

Hosseini emphasized that the SPGC, relying entirely on domestically produced goods, is responsible for supplying more than 73% of the country's gas.

He noted that since the beginning of this year (March 20, 2024), over 170 billion cubic meters of gas have been injected into the national grid from the complex's 13 refineries.
