Sirous Aqajeri stated that the development of these fields is being carried out with the participation of Russia’s ZNV company and Dana Energy, under the leadership of the Petroleum Engineering and Development Company (PEDEC).
For the first time in these fields, the company is utilizing multilateral drilling technology, leveraging the capabilities of domestic contractors. Currently, the Dana 2 drilling rig is working on the initial boreholes of the first well under this plan, and the operational phase of the technology will commence soon.
Highlighting the technological collaboration with Russia’s ZNV, Aqajeri added that multiple negotiations have taken place to acquire advanced drilling technologies.
The agreements are now in the finalization stage, aiming to implement radial drilling and acid fracturing technologies. These innovations are expected to significantly enhance production and efficiency in the Aban and Paydar Gharb oilfields.
He emphasized that in addition to advancing these fields, the application of such technologies could serve as a successful model for other oil fields across the country.
This initiative represents a crucial step toward improving efficiency, integrating advanced technologies into the country’s oil industry, and facilitating the transfer and localization of these technologies.
