Speaking to economic players in Khuzestan Province on Wednesday, Pezeshkian emphasized the need for collaborative problem-solving.
"We did not create the gas and electricity imbalances; we inherited them. God willing, we will resolve them through unity," he said.
The president attributed part of the energy imbalance to changes in consumption patterns and increased demand.
He acknowledged that difficult decisions, including energy-saving measures, temporary shutdowns, and placing some pressure on industries—though unfair—helped mitigate the crisis during the cold season. Without these measures, he said, households would have faced gas and electricity cuts.
Expressing hope that such challenges will not recur next year, Pezeshkian noted that regular meetings are being held to address the imbalances. He pledged to ensure adequate supplies for petrochemical plants, factories, and producers.
Pezeshkian stressed the importance of solving the country’s problems, stating that the people and the nation deserve the vision set by the Leader.
"We must become the best in the region, and we can achieve this," he said.
He called for unity, urging Iranians to work together rather than engage in conflicts or obstruct each other’s paths.
"Instead of fighting, creating cases against one another, or blocking each other’s way, we must join hands, remove obstacles, and move toward the summit together," he said.
