On Friday, January 3, the total amount of liquid fuel delivered to power plants reached 107 million liters, marking a 1-million-liter increase from the previous week (December 27).
According to figures released by the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company, 74 million liters of diesel and 33 million liters of mazut were supplied to the plants on January 3.
Mohammad-Sadeq Azimifar, CEO of the NIORDC, announced on Thursday during the inauguration of the crude oil supply project at the Bandar Abbas refinery that the government has focused on optimizing the underutilized capacity of existing refineries.
Over a four-month period, this effort has led to an increase in the country's daily gasoline production by approximately 11 million liters and daily diesel production by about 12 million liters.
