Speaking at the honoring and introducing ceremony of the former and new ministers of economy affairs and finance, the president said that the 14th administration’s economic policy will be regulated and planned based on the views of the elite experts in the general framework of the Vision Document.
He further noted that he thinks there is no problem in the world that can’t be solved, adding that to overcome the problem, neither developed nor developing countries face a lack of solutions but the problem is that they don’t use knowledgeable managers’ capabilities and capacities to solve the problem.
“One of the very obvious basics of economics is that there is no way to respond to unlimited demands with limited available resources”, he said noting that this obvious but important principle was ignored over the recent years, and instead of allocating the limited available resources to the priorities, massive infrastructure and development plans were launched which none of them were completed, waiting for adjustment today.
Before the president’s speech, the newly-appointed Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Abdolnaser Hemati pointed to the ministry's key role in alleviating the people’s economic woes, which he cited as the main reason behind his decision to accept serving in the post.
