The meeting took place on Wednesday after Paknejad as the president’s pick for the Petroleum Ministry won the vote of confidence from the members of parliament.
According to Shana, the petroleum minister held talk with the president on the oil industry development challenges and the available solutions.
On Wednesday, 222 Iranian lawmakers voted in favor of Mohsen Paknejad to become the petroleum minister of the 14th administration.
Yesterday, the first day of the Iranian month of Shahrivar (August 22) the new Petroleum Minister started his work by visiting the tombs of three unknown martyrs, buried in the yard of the Petroleum Ministry’s central building.
He also visited the outgoing petroleum minister Javad Owji who on the last day of his presence in the ministry as the 13th administration’s Petroleum Minister pointed to investment attraction as one of the most important needs of the Petroleum Ministry.
