Nouri Appointed as Petroleum Minister Advisor

SHANA (Tehran) - The Iranian minister of petroleum Mohsen Paknejad appointed Kasra Nouri, former general manager of the public relations department of the Petroleum Ministry, as his advisor and head of the petroleum minister's office.

The petroleum minister, in his decree, announced that “regarding your competencies, experience and satisfactory working record, you are appointed as the petroleum minister's advisor and head of the ministerial office.

At the same time, the petroleum minister thanked Payam Kehtari who was in charge of the post for the past three years.

On Wednesday, 222 Iranian lawmakers, out of 288 votes from the attending members, voted in favor of Mohsen Paknejad to become the petroleum minister of the 14th administration. The next day, he started his activities as the petroleum minister after visiting President Masoud Pezeshkian.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the 14th administration’s oil industry development plans, the Petroleum Ministry's challenges, and its related solutions.
