Former CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) Ali Kardor made the remarks adding that the president’s proposed nominee for taking over the Petroleum Ministry is a very competent and energetic person who knows the oil industry especially its upstream sector very well.
The proposed minister's background shows that he is a conscientious and persistent person who does not start a plan unless makes sure that he will finish it successfully.
The upstream sector makes up seventy percent of the Petroleum Ministry activities. Currently, the main problems of the oil industry are related to the upstream sector including high natural gas and oil products consumption and its due imbalances. Twenty years of Mr. Paknejad's experience in the sector allows him to address these problematic issues; the former NIOC chief said.
The other Paknejad’s advantage is his firm belief in boosting domestic manufacturing and following up local production of products, Kardor said.
