Former CEO of the National Iranian Oil Refining and Distribution Company (NIORDC) Abbas Kazemi made the remarks adding he hopes Iranian sovereignty, as a whole, to settle its issues at the world scene so that the nominee for Petroleum Ministry be more effective in managing oil industry.
He continued issues like the formation of think-thanks, transferring experiences, and the oil industry veterans' support and contribution will help the proposed minister to solve the oil industry problems.
“In my opinion, energy diplomacy, energy efficiency, energy economics, non-carbon energies and their relations with the environment, security supply, and energy safety are among the neglected issues in the oil industry, he said, adding “We failed to send our natural gas to India due to weakness in energy diplomacy”, he told Shana.
“My suggestion is that a new structure like an energy ministry to be established to cover all the energy-related issues.” he said.
“I think the energy structure of the country faces essential weaknesses and I hope Mr. Paknejad could remove these flaws in cooperation with other governmental bodies,” he said adding the Petroleum Ministry won’t be able to solve problems like energy imbalance which is rooted in consumption, without others around.
