Gas Flares Expected to Be Shut Down for Ever Next Year

SHANA (Tehran) - The burning of natural gas as a national wealth is expected to end next year.

The managing director of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC) Morteza Shahmirzaie made the remarks adding in close cooperation between the petrochemical industry and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) we will witness the shutdown of the gas flares, which are burning the national wealth, next year.  

Speaking at a news conference on the sidelines of the 15th Iran Petrochemical Forum (IPF) on Tuesday, NPC’s CEO called the 2-day forum one of the main petrochemical events; gathering scientists, experts, inventors, politicians, and diplomats online.

He continued that the current event would seek to discuss the latest developments in the petrochemical sector and introduce its achievements to promote the place of the industry in the world.  

According to him, displaying the petrochemical sector's achievements, improving processes, identification of environmental pollutants and prevention of their release, meaningful cooperation between the petrochemical industry and financial institutions, corporations, and producers, unveiling advanced processes and sharing technological ideas and plans are among the main goals of holding the 15th Iran Petrochemical Forum.
