Speaking at a press conference held on the sidelines of the 26th International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition, also called Iran Oil Show, Mehdi Heidari said his company is Iran’s largest onshore gas producer, adding last year, we managed to produce 245 million cubic meters of gas per day, 70 billion cubic meters in total. Cumulatively, 20 million barrels of oil and 16 million barrels of gas condensates were produced last year.
On the development of Tous gas field, he said this field is one of the most significant and strategic fields, located in northeastern Iran, whose development plan was assigned to the CIOFC by the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
The procedures to draft the tender’s documents are underway and all Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) and Engineering, Procurement, Construction & financial (EPCF) companies and even those firms which are able to merely finance the projects can attend the tender and are warmly welcomed, he stated.
Shahid Hesheminejad Refinery is located in the end of the national gas pipeline, in western Iran, he said, adding: “The company is in charge of supplying this refinery’s gas and securing sustainable gas supply to western part of the country.”
The company is also involved in development and storing sectors in order to supply gas in the long run and avoid a decline in its production, he added, saying: “There are three tasks in the form of special plans. In maintenance of production, we are trying to reduce overhaul and periodic maintenance to be able to inject gas to the pipelines and supply the gas consumed in the country.”
In development sector, we are obliged to particularly support strategic production, that is gas, he said, adding to this end, we have especial plans for pressure booster stations to avoid pressure drop in Kangan, Nar, Homa and Varavi fields.
We are also preparing tender documents for development plans of Dey, Sefid Baghoun and the second phase of Farashband fields, Heidari said.
On the maintenance and production increase plans in Danan field, he said: “Through Mapna’s appropriate performance, we have been able to fulfill our commitments with four wells which was beyond our plans.”
He referred to 17 gas fields and development packages and said, “We have planned to increase the company’s output by 100 million cubic meters by the end of the Iranian year 1404 and beginning of 1405 through implementation of these projects.
In flare gas capture, it is expected to add 115 million cubic feet to our gas production; however, preventing environmental pollution is our priority, he noted.
