New IOOC Caretaker Appointed

TEHRAN (Shana) – The CEO of the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) issued a decree to appoint Alireza Mehdizadeh as the caretaker of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company (IOOC).

Mohsen Khojastehmehr's decree to Alireza Mehdizadeh was issued on Monday evening.

"Considering your commitment, expertise and valuable experiences, you are hereby appointed as the" Caretaker of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company,” read the decree.

Upgrading the development and operational capacity of the company and guiding and supervising the performance of the affiliated operational districts, compensating for the decline in oil production capacity by implementing prioritized and half-finished plans and projects for production development and maintenance, diligently implementing the approved plans to increase the extraction and injection of gas in order to protect the reservoirs and timely implementation of renovation plans and optimal repairs of fixed and rotating facilities and equipment are among the tasks Mr. Khojastehmehr has entrusted Mr. Mehdizadeh with in his new position.

Alireza Mehdizadeh was born in 1978 in Gotvand, Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran. In his educational background, he has a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Petroleum Industry, a master's degree in mechanical engineering from the Islamic Azad University and a doctorate in mechanical engineering from the University of Kashan.
