According to the National Iranian Oil Company, the district’s overhaul program includes 1,616 work orders valued at more than 100 trillion rials, making it one of the largest maintenance projects in recent years. The scale of operations is estimated to be three times larger than routine maintenance programs.
Omid Kiani, director of industrial equipment and process machinery maintenance at the South Oilfields District, said that in the first eight months of the year, about 88 percent of releasable work orders had assigned contractors or were scheduled for in-house execution, marking a 7 percent increase in performance compared with last year.
This year, with 352 more work orders carried out compared with 1403, the volume of operations has risen significantly. The processing equipment division delivered particularly strong results, completing 96.5 percent of its program and overhauling 358 major units.
