YASOUJ (Shana) – Iranian Minister of Petroleum Javad Owji said over 62 corporate social responsibility plans are scheduled to be implemented in the western province of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.

During a visit to the province on Friday, Owji said the province’s oil production capacity stands at 620,000 b/d while it sits atop 13% of the country’s oil reserves.

Emphasizing the need to support the people living in the areas where the oil industry operates, the Minister of Petroleum stated: “More than 62 social responsibility projects are being implemented in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad.”

"I believe that industrial towns have a good capacity, and if the oil industry is to develop, the power of these towns must be used," Owji said.
