NIDC Drills 17 Oil, Gas Wells in 2 Months

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The Director of Integrated Planning of the National Iranian Drilling Company said the company has completed drilling operations for 17 oil and gas wells in the first two months of the current Iranian calendar year which began on March 21.

According to the National Iranian Drilling Company, Babak Zangeneh said: "Of this number, four were development/appraisal wells and 13 were workover operations.”

He added out of the total number of wells, 15 wells including four development/appraisal wells and 11 supplementary wells were drilled and operated in the operational scope of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) and two wells in the areas operated by the Iranian Offshore Oil Company.

The Director of Integrated Planning of the National Iranian Drilling Company stated that the repair and completion of wells has a direct and effective relationship with maintaining, and increasing production, and said: “Four wells were completed 39 days earlier than planned by the employer.”

NIDC enjoys 70 light, heavy and super heavy drilling rigs, including 67 onshore drilling rigs and three offshore ones and currently 25 drilling rigs of the company are being relocated in onshore operational areas of the country.
