South Pars Refinery Yields 13 bcm of Gas

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The director of the 11th refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex announced that since the beginning of the current calendar year, which began on March 21, more than 13 billion cubic meters of gas has been produced and processed in the facility.

According to the National Iranian Gas Company, Mohammad Saeidian said: “The 11th refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) is one of the newest refineries in the complex, which is now operating at full production tilt and has been able to make a significant contribution to the production portfolio of SPGC.

Referring to the production and export of products in this refinery, he said: “Since the beginning of the year, more than 13 thousand and 102 million cubic meters of gas have been produced and processed in the facility and in the same period, more than 257,136 tons of ethane has been sent to neighboring petrochemical plants.”

The director of the 11th refinery of the South Pars Gas Complex stated: “With the efforts of the specialists and staff of this refinery, since the beginning of this year, 17,010 tons of granulated sulfur and nearly 12 million barrels of gas condensate have been produced.”

Saeidian pointed to other important measures and achievements in this refinery this year, and said breaking the production record of 50 million cubic meters of gas per day, minimization of the refinery’s flaring, commissioning and optimization of unit 108 and reducing the delivery of acid gases to flare stacks are some of the important and significant steps of this year.
