Iran Joins Club of Gas Detector Producers

TEHRAN (Shana) – An Iranian knowledge-based company has successfully developed a gas detector which brings Iran to the club of only three countries capable of manufacturing the item. 

The CEO of Khorasan Razavi Gas Company said: “The third sample of the world's natural gas detector was built by an Iranian knowledge-based company.” 

Hassan Eftekhari stated that Iran is now the third country in the world that has succeeded in producing and manufacturing this device with more capabilities than its foreign counterparts.

He stated that the Iranian natural gas detector is made in accordance with the international standard ASTM D6273, adding the existence of an intelligent measuring assistant with the ability to assist the operator, digital calibration, no need to correct results, ability to record and send results, GPS receiver, no need for adjusting the height of the measuring point and connecting to mobile devices such as tablets and mobile phones are some of the features of this device.

Referring to international sanctions against Iran, the CEO of the province's gas company said: "The price of the sample produced by the domestic forces is roughly 60% of its foreign rival, and the commercialization and mass production of this device completely eliminates the need for Iran to import foreign samples."
