Bovard said scheduled overhauls were carried out during September and October, with most of the work now completed and the refineries prepared for the cold season.
“Major overhaul at the South Pars refineries has been carried out according to schedule, while reconstruction and development projects are progressing at a satisfactory pace,” Bovard said during a visit to the southern energy hub.
He said the projects were intended to ensure reliable services for the Iranian public during the coming winter.
Bovard also urged households to conserve energy, citing the challenges facing the country’s energy sector following what he described as attacks by the United States and Israel.
“I ask all our fellow citizens to make energy conservation a priority and avoid excessive consumption so that we can use this God-given resource responsibly,” he said, calling for solidarity to help the country overcome difficult circumstances.
During the visit to Asaluyeh in Bushehr province, Bovard conveyed President Masoud Pezeshkian’s greetings to oil industry workers and specialists and thanked them for their increased efforts.
He praised residents of southern Iran, particularly those in Bushehr province, for their longstanding cooperation with the oil industry.
Bovard said the visit was intended not only to convey the president’s message and recognize workers’ efforts, but also to assess reconstruction work on the ground and accelerate its progress.
