IGEDC to Build 4,100 km of Gas Pipeline by 2025

TEHRAN (Shana) -- The caretaker of the Iranian Gas Engineering and Development Company (IGEDC) said the company was planning to build 4,100 kilometers of pipelines for gas transmission by 2025.

Bahram Salavati told reporters on the sidelines of the 24th Iran Oil Show that the company was also planning to build 580 km of gas pipelines in the country by the end of the current calendar year to March 20 2020.

He said last year, the company had a busy year as it laid down a total of 737 km of gas pipelines in various parts of the country.

Salavati further said that the company had also outsourced construction of 2,000 km to private developers.

The 24th Iran International Oil, Gas, Refining and Petrochemical Exhibition (Tehran Oil Show 2019) began on Wednesday (May 1) and ended on Saturday, May 4.
