No gas flare in Parsi Field

TEHRAN (Shana) -- Iran's private sector has launched a station at Parsi Oilfield to collect associated gases and prevent their burning at flare stacks.

The station prevents burning of at least 3 mcf/d and at most 7.5 mcf/d of natural gas at flare stacks of Parsi Complex, Aghajari Operational District.

Operated by Tamkar Gas Company, this is the first such project to reach fruition by the Iranian private sector which has launched a gas pressure station with 7.5 mcf/d of capacity.

The station receives low-pressure gas from Parsi Field and injects to operating wells.

The facility was inaugurated on Saturday in a ceremony that was held in the presence of Bijan Alipour, CEO of the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC).
