CEO: Annual South Pars LPG production up 42%

SHANA (Tehran) – The managing director of the South Pars Gas Complex (SPGC) on Monday announced a 42 percent increase in the annual production of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).

Ahmad Bahoush added, “The LPG production has witnessed a growing trend in 1401 – the current Iranian calendar year that started on March 21, 2022 – and we managed to increase the output through implementing innovative measures by 42 percent in comparison with the volume produced in its preceding year.”

He lauded the oil minister and the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC) managing director for their unwavering support that helped SPGC produce beyond the target figure and get through this frigid and severe winter.

The oil minister and NIGC, Bahoush continued, issued strategic permits in the few past months, which paved the way for the South Pars refineries’ sustainable and constant gas production.

NIGC has made every effort to minimize the problems facing the South Pars Gas Complex, concluded the CEO of SPGC.
