No Creative Methods Needed for Selling Oil: Iran

TEHRAN (Shana) -- A senior Iranian oil official says Iran's crude oil sells easily and the country has not been forced to resort to "creative methods" to sell its oil.

Amir Hossein Zamani-nia, Deputy Petroleum Minister for International Affairs and Trading, told reporters on the sidelines of the 2nd International Congress and Exhibition of Oil Exploration and Production and the 5th International Congress and Exhibition of Iran's Drilling Industry here in Tehran on Saturday that in case the US snaps back sanctions on Tehran's nuclear program, the country would have no economic justification to stay committed to the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

"Not everything ends with cancellation of the JCPOA and things may always happen," he said.

He said Iran's current crude oil output stands at around 4 million barrels per day, adding the country exports 2.6 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate.

"Oil has its customers but it should be noted that Iran has not been forced to resort to creative methods to sell its oil," he added.
