Commerce Chamber Official Says Petrodollars Should Be Set Aside for Infrastructures

TEHRAN, Aug 14 (Shana) – Member of the Energy Commission of Tehran Chamber of Commerce Ali Shams Ardakani said on Sunday that petrodollars should be spent on various sectors, especially the infrastructures sector.

Ardakani told Shana that oil and gas are national assets, so they should be safeguarded.

He said in the past decades, oil and gas sources were taken as sources of income and revenues, while it should be noted that such resources can not be source of revenue, rather they belong to future generations.

"It should be kept in mind that oil revenues should not be brought into pockets of people directly, rather they are a sort of asset and should end up in growth of investment in Iran."
